Surf spots

Waves for every level

Taghazout’s coastline is a compact playground of beach breaks and point breaks — from your first green waves to high-performance lines.

Taghazout Beach

Easy, consistent beach breaks and long practice sessions. Stick to shallow, sandy areas and surf with an instructor if you’re new.

Beginner

Panorama Beach

Quieter practice away from crowds, mellow waves and lots of space. Check the tide — lower tides can expose rocks at some points.

Beginner

Anchor Point

Long, fast right-handers and scenic views. Works best on mid-to-high tide and can get crowded — follow line-up etiquette.

Intermediate

Devil’s Rock

Varied waves that let you practice different manoeuvres. Conditions change quickly — ask your instructors about swell and tide.

Intermediate

Osire

Powerful, hollow waves with strong currents — for experienced surfers only, always with a guide if you don’t know the spot.

Advanced

La Piscine

Unique wave shapes that reward skilled, confident surfers. Local knowledge is essential.

The most powerful and consistent swells, longer and cleaner point waves. Plan for a 3/2mm wetsuit.

Spring · Mar–May

Steadier, cleaner waves, slightly smaller than winter — great for building consistency and mixed-level groups.

  • Crowds: medium

Summer · Jun–Sep

Smaller, friendlier waves and the warmest water — ideal for beginners and families. A shortie or rash guard is usually fine.
